As a lab, we work here in Colorado and all over the world, with a current focus on the biogeochemistry of tropical forests and converted lands, on interactions between nutrient cycling and parasitic diseases, and on the changing global nitrogen and phosphorus cycles. Most of our research is motivated by trying to understand how people affect – and are affected by – the ways in which ecosystems work, so that we can have a better understanding of how to chart a more sustainable future. Some more information on our current research can be found on the State Factors Blog (e.g. here). And much more coming to this site soon.
